Samsung Galaxy S6 Waterproof? What's new in Galaxy S6

Ever since Samsung released the Galaxy S4 Active smartphone, a variant of the 2013 flagship smartphone the Galaxy S4, it was clear that it was on the path to building high end smartphones that are resistant to dust, water, cracks and even torture.  Okay, that’s pushing it, but you know how rugged the S5 is.  Enthusiasts and experts believe that as Google move to stop android fragmentation with a new Android L OS, Samsung too may be at a point where it packs everything it has in one flagship device and hope they make a killing off it.

SGS6 specs: What is encased in the metal body?

The most beautiful thing about the Samsung Galaxy S6 after its design and build is the raw power trapped within the metal casing.  The S6 will probably come with a processor with 16 cores, with more cores dedicated to graphics.  Since we know the Exynos and Snapdragon processors to be fitted in the S6 are capable of supporting up to 4K screen resolution, we are justified to say that the S6 will be a powerful machine capable of running high definition games without the slightest glitch.

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Note 4 phablet and there is a variant with a flexible screen called Galaxy 4 Edge, you should check it out.  We already know Samsung’s next flagship device will have a flexible screen, what we are not sure is whether it will bend around the device as that in the Galaxy Note 4 Edge.

Ever since concept images of the Samsung Galaxy S6 started circulating on the internet, and right after Samsung hinted at releasing all-metal devices in 2015, it was apparent that the next flagship device will be stronger and more damage, dust and water resistant than anything else Samsung has made.  The generation of children being born now will one day wonder how manufacturers ever made phones that die when they drop, drop in water, suffocate in dust or such damages.  More and more of Samsung’s devices have been rugged enough to withstand common torture tests.

To complement its powerful processor, the Galaxy S6 will come with 4GB of RAM which is a lot for a device running on a 64-bit architecture.  Apple’s iPhone 6 plus has just 1 GB.  When it comes to internal storage memory, Apple beat Samsung to make 64GB available to the consumer although Samsung had already announced that its next smartphones will come with up to 128 GB of onboard memory.

Although we will not be getting 5G on the Samsung Galaxy S6, we will get a better 20 megapixels ISOCELL primary camera, a 5 megapixels front camera, a better 4,000 mAh battery, possibly a retina scanner and if we are lucky, another camera on the front.  Samsung is likely to release just one variant of its flagship smartphone this time round, but that’s besides the mini.

Samsung will announce the Galaxy S6 on 2nd or 3rd March 2015 in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress but tit will be available later in April or May.  We should look forward to a waterproof device you can use at the office and take scuba diving as well.

Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Note 4: Should you Buy the Phablet or Wait for the Phone?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung’s latest addition to the Galaxy Note family of phablets, is as magnificent a device as it is powerful.  However, when it was revealed, the glory and fanfare didn’t last as long as they should have because everyone’s attention is focused on a device Samsung will be unveiling next year, its next flagship smartphone the Galaxy S6.

Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Render

Samsung has been consistent in its Galaxy S family of smartphones and the Galaxy Note line of phablets since 2011, but as smartphones get larger, phablets may have nowhere to go.  Based on this ideology, Samsung will pack the best hardware in the 5.3 inch Galaxy S6 because it does not have to save anything for a Galaxy Note 5.  However, if you are torn as to whether to get the Galaxy Note 4 which is up for pre-order now or just wait for the Galaxy S6 in April or May next year, here is a brief comparison to help you decide.

Performance

The Galaxy S6 smartphone will come with a far much better processor than the Galaxy note 4.  Whereas the phablet has a Snapdragon 805 quad-core Krait 450 processor and Samsung’s Exynos octa-core processor for the international version, the S6 will have a more powerful 64-bit Qualcomm 810 and the 16-core Samsung Exynos 8000 for the international version.  The phablet has 3GB of RAM but the S6 will have 4GB, and where the Note 4 has only 32 Gb of storage space, the smartphone will have as much as 128GB memory.

Display

The biggest different between the S faction and the Note faction of the Galaxy family is screen size.  This time, the smartphone has a screen almost as big as that of the phablet, but the performance will be different.  Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s 5.1 inch quadHD 1440 x 2560 pixels will be no match for the S6’s Ultra High Definition 4K flexible display.

Software

As Google finalizes the development of its 64-bit version of Android, all eyes are on Samsung to power its next flagship with the new better and more versatile OS.  The Galaxy Note 4 came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the same old TouchWiz UI, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to come with the 64-bit Android L (4.5 or 5.0) and a new TouchWiz user interface.

Design and build

During the launch of the Samsung galaxy Note 4, Samsung released the Galaxy Alpha mid-range smartphone made of all-metal.  This was clearly a sign that the S6 will be all-metal and rugged but stylish and light.  If you value uniqueness and premium design and build, the S6 will be your kind of phone!

Sensors and S-pen

Because the Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone will be large, (5.3 inches), some people may find it difficult to use.  The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet is a 5.7 inch device that comes with an S-pen to make it easy to enter information and make selections on the large screen.  This perhaps is the biggest advantage of the Galaxy Note phablet over the S6 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Review: What's new in Galaxy Note 5

After the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 the rumours of big brother Galaxy Note 5 are spreading like fire in the woods. Yes, already lots of rumours, news concepts and specifications are revealed for our flagship of 2015 the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
The Note 4 is a great success for Samsung and at present there exist no competitor for this device in Android range. But when it comes to size, now Apple has joined the war of big gadgets by launching Apple iPhone 6 Plus and yes it is affecting the sales of our start phone of 2014 i.e. Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Next year, Apple will definitely launch the iPhone 7 plus and the fight of these smartphones will go personal again and now Samsung has to take the launch of Galaxy Note 5 more seriously. Also, other phablet of the market like Xperia Z4 and LG G4 will also affect the sales. But the leader is only one and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would definitely rise as a leader.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Review
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date possibilities:
Galaxy Note 3, Note 2, Note 1 – release date September 14, 13, 12 respectively
Galaxy Note 5 release date schedule for August 2015 – the rumors suggests!
As per the previous records of Galaxy Note series members, every leading gadget of its series was released in September month and history might repeat if Samsung will not change its trend.
But the rumors are suggesting something different. The trend of smartphone marketing is most volatile and new brands are forcing trend to be more and more volatile because of new launches and cheap prices of gadgets. If a leading brand as Samsung or Apple will not bring something unique with time then their small share might be eaten by some other brand because of their newest and most advanced product. So the reason is simple, competition and need might force the Galaxy Note 5 release date to be earlier to its schedule.
Also, we observe Samsung like to stick with its plan and schedules. So, we might have to wait more for the Samsung Note 5 release date announcement. Also experts think the same.
Galaxy Note 5 Specifications and Features – Amazing and flawless
Within couple of month’s lots of rumors has fired the web for Galaxy Note 5. Before going further lets explore the present generation Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It comes powered with all latest Qualcomm 805 generation’s recent chipset coupled with Quad-core processor clocking up to frequency of 2.7 GHz. And interestingly 2K resolution display, 3GB RAM and better camera makes Note 4 a worth buying phablet. And on other Galaxy S6 is about to enter in the market with Snapdragon 810 and quad-core 3GHz processor, 4GB RAM. And yes, it hints towards the technology and smartphone trend in 2015. Galaxy S6 would be a bang for the smartphone market and our Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would take it to another level with its super specifications and features.
Apple is first to introduce the USB C port in their device Apple new MacBook and now other manufactures are planning to include the new standard USB C port in their laptops as well. And on other hand, the prime brands of smartphones such as Samsung, Apple and HTC are thinking to include it in their upcoming smartphones, and if we expect to see USB C in the next Note 5 then we won’t be wrong. Well, the USB C standard is a great initiative to standardised the all sort of devices. Within 2 to 3 years, we would see USB C in almost all devices whether it is a smartphone, camera, printer or TV.
It is not only small in size but also faster and better than the previous standards. The story of Galaxy Note 5 is not limited to the new USB type C, there are also rumours that in the month of october, few brands would be launching their first deca-core processor smartphone and as we know that, Samsung would plan something massive with the Galaxy Note 5 and the 16-core processor in the Note 5 is still again in the question.
Forget about the ASUS transformer smartphone? Well, Samsung is going to bet on something new. Now your smartphone or phablet would act as conventional laptop. Yes, Samsung has patented a new laptop dock for its upcoming phablets, may be for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. And no doubt, the new laptop dock would make the Samsung’s phablet a verdict. Hope, it would not be very expensive. Wait for the next generation phablet to arrive – the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Note 5 laptop dock
Earlier we said, Galaxy Note 5 would be Bezel less but the surprises in design section would be lot more. It will start with the sleek designed metal unibody, however we will still have the access to battery and microSD card slot. New generation Smart S-pen would be there too, there are rumours S-pen would have a memory which would work on near field communication and when we touch a small file (up to 300 kbs) and we hold the key in the new S-pen then put the S-pen on the another Galaxy Note 5, release the key you are done. Yes it sounds like a crazy sci-fi movie thing. But yes, this is the time for some action.
The new trend of bezel less design has started in the market and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is already one flagship from Samsung to feature such design and the good news is, “Galaxy Note 5 is going bezel less”. The next september, be ready for the two bezel less flagship so called Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 5 Edge. And yes, this would be another revolutionary thing that Samsung to bring in the smartphone world.
The internal news suggests that Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Note 5 Edge won’t be similar as seen in the cases of Note 4 and Note 4 Edge & S6 and S6 Edge. Now Samsung is planning to go beyond with the Edge series. We won’t only have the difference of display as people are not able to choose whether to go with the curved edges display or same traditional display. However, both phones would have 4K resolution display but we might discover different stuffings and configuration. Well, it is good news for Samsung fans, as we would have two different flavours of Galaxy Note 5 Edge this year.
We already told that Samsung is working on the 10nm manufactured chipset for the next generation Samsung Galaxy Note 5, already Samsung have proved that it is best with its chip as with the chipset of Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung entered at the level of 14NM manufacturing scale intel chipset and now the next plan of Samsung could even surprise the chip giant intel as for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 we would have the world’s first 10Nm scale manufactured chip for an Android device. Other than this, if you are expecting set of stereo speakers (front) in the next Note then you won’t be wrong because in the sound only, Samsung is behind to HTC. So, it’s the time to bang other brands, and Samsung won’t disappoint its fans.
The new Samsung 10nm Exynos 7X octa-core with configuration (litte.Big.BIGGER..) HMP (heterogeneous multi processing) would be the most efficient solution from the Samsung till now. It is rumoured that Samsung is testing such module. And this new module would have the capability to support 4K display. The speciality of this Exynos 546X HMP could be the newest construction (little.Big.BIGGER..) with the 8 different cores in increasing order of their performance. And HMP module would choose the core as per the need. If there would be need of single core, then single core would be activated if two needed then two and if 7 needed then 7 and if 8 then 8 so on. Moreover, the new processor is inspired with the cyclone technology found in the Apple A8 chip found in iPhone 6. A8 is better than latest Qualcomm 810 because A8 can handle 6 instruction per cycle whereas Qualcomm solution is limited with 3 instruction per cycle. So, you can imagine the performance of 10NM scale manufactured Exynos 7X little.Big.BIGGER HMP cyclone technology processor would give performance as two Exynos octa-core processor of present generations are working together.
Here is the list of Galaxy Note 5 specifications and features:
Snapdragon Qualcomm 82X+ processor with 3.2 GHz / Samsung Exynos 7X (10nm) 8-core (little.Big.Bigger..) with max 3GHz frequency core
4GB of RAM
All new native 4K resolution display
Advanced TOUCH ID button and retina scanner
Metal frame design
Fastest charging capabilities – might charge your phone in 5 to 10 minutes
27MP ULL sensitivity rotator camera – front to rear
Capturing 8K resolution video
microSD slot & front Stereo Speakers
The story doesn’t end here for the Galaxy Note 5 specifications but on other hand it just stats from here. All amazing specifications and features to be packed in a beautiful metal sleek gadget, the 4K resolution display would be a revolutionary mark in the smartphone industry and Samsung might be the first to incorporate such thing in their smartphone for first time. Recently, there was news for Huawei smartphone to feature 8-core processor and 4K-resolution display. So, you can sense the in the war Samsung is not alone. With the launch of Samsung Note 4, no doubt rivals of Samsung will try to bring similar solution. And the game will turn to a war with no mercy. And yes this forces the manufactures to give something best to their gadget so that it would not only compete with other manufactures but also it will satisfy the fans. Yes, we want something different from Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is really a good smartphone or phablet but it is not revolutionary. The expected revolution of Samsung fans is something different like new interaction method or software, flawless performance and amazing hardware and design. Well, these words also don’t define the revolutionary smartphone. Something different, amazing and all new that can define a revolutionary smartphone. If Samsung engineers manage to design, build the imagination of fans into a practical unit then Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would of course a star of 2015.
This was all about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which would make its entry in the mid 2015. People looking for the Galaxy Note 5 price range, well it’s to early to talk about this thing but it would not any cheaper to $1000.
